DISCOVER URBAN HAUTE CUISINE IN TIJUANA’S FOOD TRUCKS
Transport yourself to Tijuana’s past through its historic buildings and the state’s heritages: The Casa de la Cultura at Colonia Altamira, The Teniente Guerrero Park & the Antiguo Palacio Municipal.
The Casa de la Cultura is a building of neoclassical architecture, built in 1930; it has a theater with seating for 450 people, a Literary Café, the Benjamín Serrano Gallery and the Josefa Ortiz de Domínguez public library. It’s also the Escuela de Música del Noroeste headquarters.
Near this site is the Teniente Guerrero Park, an ideal place to spend the day with the family, where you will find different types of activities, from children’s games to local artists’ presentations.
A few blocks away from the park, you’ll find the Antiguo Palacio Municipal of Tijuana, a space that houses the Instituto Municipal de Arte y Cultura of Tijuana. This building was rescued in order to be made a cultural space, in which local artists of the region and the country gather.
